Baldness and hair thinning are common conditions that can significantly affect confidence and, in some cases, affect overall quality of life.     Finasteride is commonly used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia in men. It helps strengthen hair follicles by reducing the effect of male hormones on hair roots. However, results are not maintained after discontinuation, and its effectiveness in women remains uncertain.

  • Hair Transplantation

    This surgical procedure involves harvesting hair follicles from the back of the scalp, which is an area typically resistant to hair loss, and transplanting them to thinning areas. While overall hair quantity remains the same, redistribution improves hair density in targeted areas. Hair transplantation can be costly and involves surgical discomfort, as well as potential complications such as scarring or infection.

  • Low-Level Laser Therapy

    Low-energy laser therapy is believed to activate stem cells in the hair follicle region and encourage follicles to re-enter the growth phase. Treatment may be performed at home using medical devices or administered by healthcare professionals. It is generally more suitable for early-stage hair loss.
